Providing a safe environment

Commitment to Child Safety
All children who are a part of the Club have a right to feel and be safe, be they players, coaches, umpires or volunteers. The welfare of the children in our care will always be our first priority and the Club has a zero tolerance to child abuse.

Who is responsible for Child Safety at our club?
Everyone associated with the club has a responsibility to create a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for all members, and for young members in particular. 
 
Who can make a complaint?
Complaints can be made by

  • Children participating in a Netball Victoria competition or playing at an Netball Victoria affiliate

  • Members of Netball Victoria, including parents, players, coaches, officials and affiliates

  • Persons in positions of responsibility and authority

  • Other organisations

  • Any person in the general community who has concerns about a person or their behaviour or conduct in netball.

What can complaints be about?
Complaints may be about an act, behaviour, conduct, omission, situation or decision that may be in breach of Netball Victoria’s Child Safety Policy. To read the policy, please see the links below.
